About Me

Hi and welcome! I’m Amna.

I love math, physics, learning languages, cybersecurity, and many other things. I am a person who cares about truly understanding things.

I love math, especially algebra, graph theory, and mathematical logic. I fell in love with math the first time I saw a proof, I had been searching my entire life for a subject which had an essence of truth. I loved that there were defined axioms and everything else was logically derived.

I also love physics, I love knowing the frameworks we have for describing the world. My love for physics is very different from my love for math. In physics, given a certain set of conditions, the framework that gives the most accurate results given those set of conditions is accepted. We will never be able to determine the true laws of nature but our frameworks are unbelievably accurate and provide amazingly accurate laws for innovation.

I also love learning languages, especially Latin and Ancient Greek. I had initially begun learning these languages to read Newton’s Principia and Euclid’s Elements, respectively, but I never got to it. It wasn’t until I heard Luke Ranieri introduce himself in Latin that it sparked a fire in my heart, it sounded as if his voice had been pulled from the past. It had all the elements of power, knowledge, wisdom I would expect to hear someone who had lived at the time of the Roman Empire. After that, my serious study began.

I also love volunteering, I currently volunteer at a food bank and for Impact.

I have always loved cybersecurity, I have created and taught cybersecurity workshops, created CTF challenges and done research in cybersecurity for satellite systems. I also currently work as a cybersecurity analyst! As someone who works in cybersecurity, I am responsible for protecting the work people laboured for. I think of myself as a shephard of products.

For hams, my call sign is VE6 SOA.
